Clifton Running Club is a part of the 'Social Fitness Bristol' community & offers members so much more than just a running club of coached run fitness sessions, social distance runs, team adventure runs out of the city & club park run outings, alongside its aprés run activities. It's over 300 strong community enjoys a whole host of weekly fitness sessions & classes from Running to Yoga, HIIT, Cycling and more, a loaded social calendar of local activities & events, regular UK wide weekend challenges & escapes, plus international adventure holiday trips. About CRC


Clifton Running Club has been running (pun intended) since 2012, offering a buzzing social community, packed with social events, outdoor activities & trips to compliment the daily running activities. Suitable for everyone, from complete beginner to advanced hero, we also offer a variety of other fitness classes to compliment your running fitness, get you strong, keep you injury free & offer a more rounded, varied and complete  fitness regime to keep you engaged, improving & enjoying your fitness.


As a part of the 'Social Fitness Bristol' family, CRC has the sister clubs Clifton Yoga Club, Clifton Cycling Club, Clifton Swimming Club, Bristol HIIT Fitness & Social Heroes Adventure Club.


We believe fitness should start with FUN. We offer constantly varied run fitness training alongside club runs, full body HIIT Fitness Classes, Yoga, Cycling and so much more with our sister clubs. We also have an incredible and busy social calendar each month, including organised trips, events and activities. All of this is via our sister club, Social Heroes Adventure Club, Bristol's social adventure community full of excellent, friendly & brilliant people. From Nurses, Doctors & Teachers to Engineers, Finance Professionals & Civil Servants.

We have members from around the UK & around the world, that are living all over Bristol - Henleaze, Redland, Bedminster, Horfield, Stoke Bishop, Southmead, Montpelier, Filton, St George, Fishponds you name it - and we have a regular flow of new members joining weekly.


Run Fitness Sessions


Whilst we have club long runs, CRC Run Fitness sessions are not simply long runs. We provide varied, mixed ability, run training sessions to compliment your running fitness progression. All of these training techniques are important to develop overall running ability & increase your fitness levels rapidly. CRC classes are specifically designed and delivered to suit all levels of fitness abilities. We're about having fun, keeping it varied, helping your fitness to improve rapidly, progressing with each other &, ultimately, winning together.


There is absolutely no need to be worried about your current fitness level or ability, we have suitable sessions for almost everyone. You'll be fine. We all have to start somewhere & we have a broad range of members from complete beginner to advanced. Wherever you're currently at, just book in for a taster & we'll get you going.

Social Fun


As mentioned, Social Heroes Adventure Club Bristol is the social arm to the Social Fitness Bristol community, continually making an effort to provide a way for new joiners & seasoned members alike to make new friends & connections. Lots of people have joined for this very reason! We're really proud to have such an awesome bunch of genuine, fun, likeable and super-friendly members who are equally keen to meet new people and make new friends. As a CRC member, you get free membership with Social Heroes Bristol, offering a social club of après fitness activities, including everything from pub quizzes, surfing, paddle boarding, meals out and bowling to camping, canoeing, kayaking, climbing, hiking, ski holidays and more. Yoga is available to all CRC members via Clifton Yoga Club, a fun, community centred Yoga club that focuses on inclusivity & social engagement. CYC uses an inclusive, all-abilities style of Vinyasa yoga to help individuals regain the flexibility, mobility, strength & balance that we were born with. CYC offers a platform to meet new people, make friends, have fun & enjoy a healthy, active lifestyle. They have put social togetherness & individual development at the heart of our club... plus so much more!




The above training methods also happen to be some of the very best ways to loose body fat, which leads us to another important part of the CRC community....nutrition. At CRC you'll have a coach at your disposal every single session, able to answer any questions with professional and useful nutritional advice. Having said this, we are all cake, takeaway and beer/wine lovers too, a bit of what you love keeps the soul smiling, we say. So, there are plenty of our favourite guilty pleasures to share too!

Personal Training, Nutrition & Massage Therapy


CRC has both a network of talented Personal Trainers and an in-house Massage Therapist that are professional, knowledgeable, committed and focused on helping individuals to achieve their aims and goals. Should you require any home based, studio based or outdoor based personal training, relaxation/sports massage therapy or 1 to 1 nutritional consultations, we're here to help. Simply contact us and we'll arrange your first session to fit around your schedule. Good news too, CRC members receive discounts on Personal Training, Massage Therapy & Nutritional Consultations.




Some people join CRC for general fitness, social connection, running improvements and/or weight loss. Others like to run at local events and try to improve upon Personal Best times. Members of CRC often enter 5K/10K/Half Marathon/Marathon events and we're always encouraging members to join & share these adventures throughout the year. We also have a number of selected CRC team events throughout each year that we'll enter en mass, together, as a team. #WinningTogether
